David Lefort, 32 years old, started his domaine in 2010 by first converting his 2.08 Ha property in Mercurey 1er Cru to organic agriculture. His rocky limestone soil is from superior Jurassic time with 20 year old vines. Starting with an organic approach in the vineyard, David continues in the cellar with minimal intervention using only indigenous yeast and gravity. Simply put, some of the best wines from this appellation. All wines are organic.
