Grapes: 90% Tempranillo, 10% Carignan
Region: Antioch, Northern California
Vinification: The Tempranillo is destemmed and the Carignan is added to the fermentor in whole clusters. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with native yeast. The skins are punched down into the juice twice daily for the 2.5 weeks it remains in contact with the skins. The wine spends 12 months on the lees and is aged for 12 months in neutral puncheons.
